In the 1980s, Price Waterhouse developed a system with which inventory costs could be reduced significantly. This was the birth of STASAM. First, the system was used internally by Price Waterhouse. However, many customers wanted to use the system in their own companies.

Thus Stat Control GmbH was founded in 1991 as a spin-off of Price Waterhouse. Over the course of time, additional products such as STASEQ and STAVER were introduced in addition to STASAM.

Stat Control specializes exclusively in statistical methods for inventory that use random samples and sequential tests. The software products are developed continuously in cooperation with auditors, mathematicians, and MBAs and are based on many years’ experience.
